Atomo 10 MDT

The new ATOMO – 10 by Digitax is the ideal solution for companies and system integrators in need of a professional, certified, and modular Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) suitable for public transport, fleet management, and special vehicles.

Available as a stand-alone MDT (ATOMO–10 MDT) or an integrated ALL-IN-ONE system (ATOMO–10 ETS), it includes Digitax validators and a printer, ensuring maximum flexibility. It supports standard protocols for seamless integration with third-party devices. The ATOMO – 10 MDT features an Android Platform On Module, enabling continuous updates for hardware, OS, and connectivity, including 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It offers a customizable user interface, navigation, and mission management. Digitax validators are available as onboard or remote units, with customizable colors.

Thanks to the centralized management of various peripheral devices, it reduces the number of smart components, simplifies fault detection, and optimizes maintenance costs.

Upgradable Android Platform

Digitax ATOMO – 10 MDT supports the Android Platform On Module, enabling CPU, OS, and connectivity upgrades. Available chipsets include QUAD Core, OCTA Core, and OCTA Core with a 5G NR Modem. Digitax offers AI capabilities, enhanced processing power, and updates for the OS and peripherals.

Dual CPU

PRIMARY CPU

The Octa-core processor, running Android 9, 10, or 14 with 4G LTE connectivity, ensures high flexibility and computing efficiency while reducing power consumption.

SECONDARY CPU

The dedicated AITP module manages key automotive functions such as power management, safe shutdown, wheel pulses (odometer), distance/speed calculation, WakeUp on Ring, and OTA software/firmware updates. Always active and remotely programmable, it enables automatic firmware and fare updates while controlling power supply to the device and peripherals.

The device integrates the latest technologies to meet any professional application in fleet management and security.

Ideal for fleet management, AVM, ticket validation, task assignment, service certification and navigation, it is a reliable, professional, compact, flexible, modular, and automotive-certified Mobile Data Terminal. The 4G LTE or 5G LTE modem ensures highly reliable communication with back-end servers.

Customizable User Interface

The 10.1” Full HD 1KNIT 16:9 TFT display offers versatile and intuitive applications, thanks to the integrated capacitive touch controller and 10 LED-backlit function keys.

These dedicated keys facilitate common operations, extending the touchscreen’s lifespan, while the ambient light sensor automatically adjusts brightness for optimal visibility in any condition. The programmable Smart Power (ON/OFF) button supports advanced features, including activation or deactivation of Ghost Mode (simulated shutdown).

Stealth Mode

The Stealth Mode keeps the system active while disabling the display and audio, making it useful in various scenarios:

Driver Monitoring: The "Wake Up on Ring" function allows remote activation to check the vehicle’s location, record audio, and collect data.
Ghost Mode: When the device is turned off, it enters Stealth Mode, remaining operational with reduced power consumption.
Alarm Management: If the device is off, pressing the alarm button activates Stealth Mode, discreetly sending alerts, GPS location, screenshots, or audio streams to the control center.

Software Customization

The Digitax R&D team can customize and keep every software module of the system up to date.

In addition to technical support, Digitax provides libraries, code samples, and all necessary resources to enable customers to develop their own custom and proprietary applications.

Digitax also ensures dedicated technical support for its clients.

Reliability

The device is designed to withstand power failures during vehicle startup and voltage surges up to 32V. It is also immune to ESD and EMC interference.

Thanks to the AITP processor, user applications and the Android operating system can safely shut down in the event of a sudden disconnection from the main power supply.

Input And Outputs

A wide range of I/O channels is available, including three Hi-Speed Host ports, one USB Client port, and a total of seven RS232 and RS485 serial ports.

Additionally, special programmable digital I/Os enable bidirectional interaction with external devices and equipment.
